Veterinarian

Dr. B knew he wanted to be a veterinarian from the first time he heard of the occupation as a child and has worked with animals in one manner or another since the age of 16. Dr. B graduated with his DVM in 1995, from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!!), and has been a beloved part of the North Suffolk Animal Clinic family since 2007.

Dr. B is accompanied by his wife, daughter, and two dogs (Mozzie & Caffrey) at home. During his downtime, he enjoys tending to his garden and exploring new places in his camper.

Shawnee

Veterinary Assistant

Hi! My name is Shawnee, and I am a veterinary assistant. I have a passion for working with and helping animals in whatever way that I can. Before I moved to Virginia, I worked at an animal shelter in Florida for 3 years, where I learned a lot about animal behavior. I spent most of my time meeting and taking care of new dogs and cats while trying to help them find their furever homes. I have 3 quirky rescue dogs of my own: Abby, Artemis, and Lilly. In my spare time, I like to use my dogs to practice my photography skills, read lots of books, and play video games.
